Over the last four years, I've had the opportunity to study Marketing and Innovation at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While at school, I was led to join the UNCC Bass Fishing Team where I accepted a leadership role. I was in charge of running special events and coordinating with our team sponsors. This is where I truly developed a passion for communications, marketing and leading people. Aside from UNCC and the Bass Fishing team, I have always looked for further ways to develop my skills and find creative ways to combine my passions to make a living. The first step I took towards this goal was a position at a local outdoors shop. I managed the store, kept a balanced inventory, and created a social media strategy. Getting to work with people in the industry I love, and create engaging digital material for the store, proved to be a great learning experience. One thing I've always thought to be important is to give back to the community in which you grow up in. In the past I’ve done just that when partnering with the Charlotte Based Non Profit, Riley’s Catch, to launch a “Life of Impact Leadership Experience” for teens. Riley's Catch also gives me the chance to serve as a mentor to youth fishermen that are wanting to learn and grow in the sport but don't have the means to do so. I strive to make a difference in everything that I do. Now, as I enter a new era, I wish to put all my skills to use and focus on creating the best business I know how to. To do this, I’ve partnered with Austin Mullins and together we Co-Founded Lateral Reach. Austin is incredibly talented at graphic design and has valuable industry experience. Pairing his technical skills with my knowledge and love of communications, has proven to be a great partnership. We take pride in helping businesses tell their story so that they can reach their full potential.
